I purchased what I thought was a top of the line Ceiling fan. It worked great for about a year, before it sparked and quit. Hunter fan was quick to send me a replacement fan. The problem was it is much less expensive than the one I purchased. I couldn't even mount the nice light kit on it. So I settled for just being cool.
Eight months later the replacement sounds like an airplane with all the humming from the motor. I called Hunter fan just to have some idiot tell me they have not received the return defect and won't replace the cheap replacement fan. Had someone told me they required a return or even sent a return label with the cheap replacement they would probably find another excuse not to honor the warranty.
Well, Looks like two Hunter fans are going to end up in the dump where they belong.
