My husband and I moved into a apartment that was no where near ready to move into. The walls were Brown from the smoke from the previous tenent. There were holes in the walls, burn holes in the carpet, oven didn't work. It took them 2 weeks to get the maintance man out and when he came he left in the middle of the work, because he said that the property managers owed him money and that he would be back later to finish his work, but that his money was more importiant.
This complex is covered in smoke, and I really bad asthma and got a doctors note to move out (tenents rights) and now the landlord is fighting it trying not to let us move out, because we signed a lease, but due to health problems unless I want to go on a ventalator, i have to move out.
Everytime we had a problem with the neighbors, noise, or whatever it was I'd write to the property manager, and all i got back was "there is nothing i can do". We called the cops on the neighbors ASPCA for letting their pitbulls run around outside without leashes, but property managers didn't want to do anything about it. But rather sided with the Crazy Neighbor above us.
Never rent from these people you will get screwed over big time.
