Mr. Scott Wermes had agreed to meet me for a roofing estimate. It was set for late afternoon (period beginning 2pm). He didn't arrive and consequently wasted my family's entire afternoon waiting for him.
2.5 years ago I contacted the BBB regarding this service. The BBB and I received no response from Certified Roofing or Mr. Scott Wermes.
I received a mystery e-mail from the BBB a month ago that I thought must be SPAM, but after checking it more I discovered it wasn't. After nearly two and a half years Mr. Scott Wermes of Certified Roofing decided to begin to address the BBB complaint.
He said he was busy and forgot and he is sorry. He said he hoped to resolve the issue with the customer. He provided an excuse. He said he would call before coming out.
I am now inconvenienced a second time, having to respond 2.5 years after the time Mr. Wermes should have contacted the BBB. I asked him for an explanation.
He repeated that he was a very busy boss, and all he can say is that he's sorry. He said he contacted the BBB to get a clean slate, as I'm his only complaint.
My family lost 5 hours waiting, a number of hours working on the BBB information, and a further number of hours having to work on it again. An excuse and a 'sorry' is all Mr. Wermes sees fit as resolution/compensation.
After 2.5 years he provided an excuse saying he'd call before coming out. I didn't hear him say this, so I disagree, but to be realistic, who am I to remember the details now of a phone call 2 and a half years ago, and to be even more realistic, who is he to be trying to remember that phone call?
When Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes contacted the BBB and said he was going to resolve the problem I gave him the benefit of the doubt. My BBB report was simply an unresolvable warning to others and didn't request anything from him. I assumed Mr. Wermes' business was planning to resolve the problem by providing compensation of some form for our loss.in the wait for his explanation I decided that I would provide that compensation to a charity, as I don't and didn't want to gain from this report.
Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes explanation contained information all about 'his' problems and 'his' excuses and 'his' needs to have a clean BBB slate. Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes did not address the issues the customer brought to the BBB, the several inconveniences, and nothing was provided by this business to make up for it other than the word sorry.
As much as I really wanted to resolve the problem since Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes re-started it 2.5 years late, that's why I came up with the donation thought, I think Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes did not come here to try to resolve the BBB report.in my opinion I think he just wanted his bad BBB rating removed from the BBB for a time period. Simply contacting the BBB reopens the report and removes the bad rating for a few months, and that's perfect timing for spring roofing work.
I think it's very bad that Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes ignored the BBB, and I think it's a lot worse that he contacted them again 2.5 years late for apparently no reason, other than excuses and a 'sorry' word.
I am sorry the resolution Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes suggested did not live up to my expectations.
I do not accept Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes communications as a genuine attempt to resolve the problems of the report, and I continue to consider Certified Roofing's Mr. Scott Wermes actions unsatisfactory and the Certified Roofing BBB report unresolved.
Mr. Wermes. You're now on usacomplaints.com. Roofing companies like yours often charge tens of thousands of dollars for replacement roofs. You are free to respond to this complaint regarding why the problems you created are worth nothing. The 5 hour wait, the BBB, the BBB again after 2.5 years, and now time spent here on usacomplaints.com. If I have understood something wrong, please explain it here as a complaint response so that Kansas City knows the true story.
