Lost a ton of money due to Corvallis Architect Gerke's advice

If you like flushing money down the toilet you are going to love this guy.

I hired him to design a house, evaluate properties for building it and supervising building. After getting the basic design down I aske him to evaluate a property for building it. He told me there were "no problems" with Zoning and that it was "do-able". Then he goes to get the permits for building and discovers that due the the Land Development Code in Corvallis does not allow that type of building to be built on that land. Subsequently I talked with several architects. They all said that due to the restrictions in the Land Development Code no reasonable home could be built on that land.

Do yourself and your wallet a favor and steer clear of Gerke.
