Kimber Landscapes is truly a joke. My wife and I want to save you time and lots and lots of aggrivation with these so called "landscapers". Do not hire these people because the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. There are so many hard working, honest, great landscaping companies out in the Orlando / Winterpark area that know what they are doing, dependable and make your lawn look nice. So stay far, far away from Kimber Landscapes, becuase we do not know how it is possible, but they make your lawn look worse... That is if they even show up at all. (Still charge though!)
We did not get a referral, but saw their truck down the road and took down their number. Our HUGE mistake. We called and a few day later the owner JAY came out to to an estimate. He seemed like an OK guy and promised that our lawn would be neatly kept with lawn trimming every other week and our palm trees and bushes whenever needed. All sounded OK. Price was a little more than we were planning on, but my wife and I decided to hire them.
We should have known from the beginning something was wrong when they did not even show up for 2 weeks. Then, this young man did the work (not Jay). Let me mention that this worker started working on my neighbors lawn and was stopped mid way through because she came out and advised him he was at the wrong house. Needless to say, his work was poor, no edging and no pick up of the grass that was cut. We immediately called Jay on his cell which he gave us and left a message. He called back in THREE DAYS and said he would take care of it. Well nothing was taken care of and then two weeks later another worker came to cut the lawn. This time we called the owner and said this is totally unacceptable. He once again called and said he would personally come by. Now we waited for another 2 weeks and this time no one came by to cut the lawn.
Needless to say our lawn is looking worse and worse as time goes by and totally embarassing to us in regards of what our neighbors might be thinking. I also should mention our home owners association sent us a note that our lawn needed to be taken care of. This has never happened to us in all the 7 years we have been living there!!!

Now upset, I called owner Jay again. Remarkably, he answered the phone this time. He seemed in complete shock that no one had showed up at all because the worker was paid. I told him to come over and take a look himself. He came by while my wife and I were at work (or so he said) and agreed that his employee lied to him and that this would never happen again. Well guess what... It did!
We gave Kimber Landcapes too many chances in my opinion and obviouly the right hand (Jay) does not have any idea what the left hand (his employees) are doing. I don't know what they were doing with the grass, but they were not cutting it!!!
Here is the icing on the cake though. Hope you continue to read. We let Jay know that this is not working out and we would be using someone else. They never came back... However the bills kept coming. Not only did the work stop completely, but each month Jay was charging us as if the work was done. Call after call after call (of course he must have been screening our calls because after we fired him he never picked up the phone) the bills kept coming, of course higher and higher each month. We have asked the BBB a for their assistance, but all they can do is file a complaint, not make him stop.
So in essence, what we are trying to advise you... Do not ever hire kimber landscapes to do anything. Unless you want to be sent bills from them for doing nothing. If Jay was as accurate in showing up for the job as he is in sending bills, his business would be booming. Sad how people like this can be in business.
Please take our warning. We only wish that someone had done this for us!
