On April 14th, my husband and I purchased a John Deere lawn tractor from Home Depot. It had a 2 yr. Manufactured warranty. We also purchased
an extended 4 yr warranty for $249.99. We were told that we had a total of 6 yrs. Warranty on it. It needed minor repair in Janruary 2009. We called Home Depot to make sure the warranty was good and was told that it was covered until 2009. They gave us the number to call to get an appointment to have it picked and repaired. The extended warranty representive told us that the warranty run out in 2008. That was only 4 yrs. Althougher. He said that the first two years we purchased ran the same time as the manufactured warranty. Why would e we pay for 4 extra yrs. To only get 2. It would be stupid to give them $125.00 for the 2 yrs that the manufacture already has covered? Something smells rotten to me. Beware! Don't be talked in to buying extended warrantys.
