As a former real estate agent for Capital Trust Real Estate, owned by Jere Parkhurst, I have personal experience with not being paid money due to me.
When pressured to cut a check for the monies owned to me, he stalled long enough to close the company and open Citi Core Real Estate and then never return my calls, emails, faxes or letters. I did hear through another person affected he stated he no longer owes anyone any money that worked at Capital Trust Real Estate because the company no longer exists, however, since I did not personally receive such a statement, I can not confirm this is true.
I was leaving Capital Trust Real Estate and transferring to another broker because I was uncomfortable with the way things were being handled at the office.in addition, I have heard horror stories far worse then the amount owed to me by other agents in the office. While I can not verify these first hand, they come from trusted colleagues.
I'm not one to use these types of websites to "get back" at people, so I am using this mechanism as a way to inform people about my experience with Jere Parkhurst and allow them to come to their own conclusions.in my limited observation of Jere Parkhurst I formulated the opinion he knows how to work the system and slip through the cracks untouched by the law. This posting is a last resort after over six months of legally trying to correct the situation. Apparently the Arizona law, Arizona Association of Realtor regulations and standards and other professional organizations in place to protect the public and real estate agents can not touch him because of the specific and planned way he has operated.
From personal experience, Jere Parkhurst has stolen money from me by not paying me what I am contractually due and for that I call him a thief, although not convicted by a court of law for doing so in my case.
This is a serious warning to do your research before working with anyone and that includes Jere Parkhurst (or whatever variation of an individuals name they may go by past and present). I wish I had done a more thorough due diligence before becoming an agent for Capital Trust Real Estate, it has been very stressful, complicated and damaging experience.
