Back in October I hired Beautiful Granite of Commerce Township, MI to install a granite counter-top and noticed shortly after the installation that the cook top was cut off center from the microwave above and stove below. I contacted the company and spoke with the receptionist to let them know of the mistake and how they want to remedy this error. After numerous phone calls, the owner, Pete, refused to talk about the issue.
Just recently, the seam at the cook top (near the backsplash) has come apart. Once again, I have contacted the Beautiful Granite to get this repaired (they offered a (10) year warranty) for the countertop and labor to repair the split seam and look at their screw up. When I finally spoke with the owner, Pete, he played himself off as a laborer to avoid talking about the issue. He said he will let his boss know of the issue.
Beautiful Granite was scheduled to come out four times and each time, they failed to show up or even call to cancel. Throughout this mess, I have been dealing with the office manager to get this resolved. The receptionist has told me on numerous occasions the owner / installer is a little scattered.
The last conversation was very ugly and he does not want to warranty his work. He is a class act scam.
