To Whom It Might Matter:
On June 30, I bought 11 dual-put windows from Winner Windows, Exterior and Terrace Areas in Elmhurst, IL. The job was done in July by Mr. Dave Milsap and his team.
While winter 2008 arrived, I observed the windows within the living room were drafty and there is a coating of snow inside of my new windows. I named on January 31 and talked with Bruce Carter at Champ concerning the scenario. Champ sent a guy called Chris, who re-measured all of the sashes after he decided these were initially calculated/installed improperly. March 11, the brand new sashes were mounted and that I believed the issue was set. Through the spring and summertime, I didn’t have any problems.
Winter 2009 is here and I’ve once more observed a draft originating from these windows, and there's serious condensation about the living room windows within the days. Although I’m particularly dissatisfied with my children bedroom windows, because they be seemingly the toughest within this scenario, it would appear that the windows facing West would be the types having issues.
I named Champ again in November and talked with Scott who stated Champ might deliver somebody out again. On November 25th, Dave Milsap, who initially calculated and mounted the windows, came and informed me of the moisture issue in my own home. I advised Mr. Milsap that my humidifier continues to be disconnected since Spring of 2007 which, to make sure it was not really a moisture problem, I’d currently lent a de humidifier from the friend for 2 months and hadn’t ripped out any water in the space. The reserviour of the de humidifier was totally dried for 2 months.

The indicator was studying roughly 40% moisture on daily schedule.
Although Mr. Milsap was examining the specific situation on December 25th, his moisture indicator was studying roughly 10% greater than mine, and again he insisted it had been a moisture issue. I’d advised Mr. Milsap that I'd obtained my heat/moisture indicator to my neighbors house the night time before also it read roughly 40%, because it was in my own home. Then he stated that I ought to change my heat-up to fix the problem.
On December 2, Mr. Milsap arrived having a team, eliminated the exterior housing of my children bedroom screen, and mounted extra efficiency. Mr. Milsap subsequently advised me that I had been “the just one complaining” which the humidity is most likely because of the proven fact that there's a maintenance lake behind my home with no additional structures preventing the water. These windows are said to be more energy-efficient, also it doesn’t appear in this way using the windows mounted in my own home. Although I will observe that, whilst the windows can handle folding set for washing reasons, I don’t believe I ought to have the ability to shake the screen when it's closed. The draft is from the region where the latches are.in my opinion the seals on these windows are defective.
I’m having no achievement by myself solving this case, as Champ appears to be managing me like “the child who cried wolf”. I’m requesting your help within the issue since I don’t wish to believe I invested $6400.00 on sub standard windows. I’ve enclosed copies of work requests, though I didn’t get a work-order the final 2 times Champ was at my home, in addition to copies of my heat/moisture monitoring.
