Late and overcharged

I had an appt. For between 1-4 - but didn't show up until 5:00. I had already been without the refrigerator for 2 days and with two small children needed it repaired quickly. At 5:00 in the evening we didn't feel like we had much choice but to pay $350 to replace the defrost thermostat.

They charged us $150 for the thermostat. The most expensive one I've found online is about $50. They charged an obscene $180 labor charge for the 1/2 hour they were here.

I wish we had time to do our research first... I hope you are reading this BEFORE you use Smith Brothers.
