I bought a custom made shower door. After two years the door started catching on the frame. I can't shut the door completely as a result. I stopped into Alco Glass to discuss the problem. The woman behind the counter told me it sounded like the door needed to be adjusted and that their "minimum" service charge would be $195 - almost $200 dollar "minimum" service charge! The door cost $600. So, in less than 3 years my $600 door would cost $800 or more! She told me they don't warranty their work after 2 years. What a rip-off! She even admitted that they should service the doors they make if they have problems. I would think a custom made shower door should work normally after 2 years. Nothing unusual was done - it's a shower door! Open and close - that's all. The quality of their work apparently doesn't last more than two years and they won't offer reasonable repair rates to their customers. I will never shop their again!
