I ordered a custom glass shower door at the Home Depot and subsequently had my measurement a few days later. I was told the installation would be 17 working days and I called 2 weeks later to check on things. Turns out the people at Home Depot did not tell me that the cost was actually $200 higher and they didn't place the PO with their vendor. I had paid up front so you would figure things would go smoothly. I called the corporate complaint dept. At Home Depot and was told they would call the vendor to push things up to still meet the schedule. I got a call back from them that they would. I also spoke to Century Shower Door and was told that the install would be on a specific date. I waited on that date and no one showed. I called Century and was told they hadn't even gotten the glass in yet. I was floored at thier incompetence. Why hadn't they bothered to call me. I guess they just don't give a crap about their customers. At this point I don't know if I'm ever going to get these damn shower doors.
Personally, both the Home Depot and Century are totally unprofessional. They don't communicate with their customers and can't even manage a simple project like installing three pieces of glass in a shower. This ain't rocket science. It's glass.
