Old Time Pottery - Tabletops Gallery China
Target China NOT MICROWAVE SAFE even though it says it is

I purchased the BAND pattern of Tabletops Gallery China (made in China). It clearly states both Microwave and Dishwasher safe.in the dishwaher, it changes color (a minor hassle) but in the microwave it is positvely dangerous. Just reheating food, it gets way to hot to handle and clearly contains some type of unknown metal, possibly lead in the paint.

This manufacturer also sells in Target and other stores, I beleive Old Time Pottery buys close outs of remaining pattern pieces once the big stores change patterns.

I would want all consumers to carefully check out anything from Tabletops Gallery or anything made in China that says it is microwave safe before actually believing it. We had a few relatively minor burns before we figured it out, but a child especially could get seriously burned.
