We ordered a carpet on 17th May and paid a 50% deposit of $3550 on the understanding that this would be fitted within 3 weeks. After numerous unreturned phone calls and broken promises, this deadline was missed. We finally got a committment to fit on 23rd July. On the 22nd they rang to cancel, saying that the carpet was delivered slightly damaged. When we asked them to fit those rooms they could using the undamaged carpet, it became seriously damaged. When I went to the show room no carpet at all could be shown to me.
Since that date we have been chasing for a refund. I have visited the show room many times. The mysterious Scott Sandler is apparently the only one who can give a refund and he does not return phone calls or respond to faxes.
After 4 months we are resorting to legal action to try and retrieve our money. Are they going bankrupt?
