Plumber "Brian" of Hanna Plumbing & Heating Inc. Showed up to our residence intoxicated, smelling of alcoholic beverages, and spoke with slurred speech at 8:15am on May 15. They were hired to install a new dish washing machine, new kitchen sink faucet, install existing disposal unit under sink, and to connect sink drains to existing drain pipes.
Upon arrival and inspection of the area "Brian" left to purchase sink traps from Home Depot because he did not have the needed parts on his truck. He left to acquire the parts needed at 8:30am and returned @ 9:30am. He installed the sink faucet, connected drain plumbing from sink, and installed the dish washer and left the residence at 11:45am.
After he departed, I tested out the faucet and dish washer. The faucet had a continuous stream of hot water when in the off position and could only be remedied by shutting off the hot water from the hot water heater. I then attempted to try out the garbage disposal but, to no avail. I looked under the sink to find the garbage disposal not installed in-line with the drain pipe under the sink but, lying disconnected from the outlet and drain on the base of the cabinet. To "Brian's" credit, he did a great job on installing the dish washing machine.
We called Hanna Plumbing & Heating Inc. Several times to set up a time for them to come and "complete" or fix the job. They (Hanna Plumbing) did not show up to two different agreed upon appointments.
We then received an invoice from Hanna Plumbing with billing for 12 labor hours. "Brian was only on the job for approx. 3-4 hours (including the hour to pickup needed parts).
I found the workmanship, customer service, and overall experience unacceptable and warn others before choosing Hanna Plumbing & Heating Inc. This company is the one sour note in the entire remodel process of our home/kitchen. There are many other adequate plumbing & heating providers in the Cedar Rapids/Corridor Area but, beware of Hanna Plumbing & Heating Inc.
