When we decided to use Liquid Siding for our townhouse complex, it was because of the warranty offer, definitely not the price, since it was an expensive option. Over the last 5 years have continually had difficulty getting a response regarding warranty work for an application of Liquid Siding done in August.
Most recently (January) we had a visit from Juan Lopez who said he was handling the warranty work for Jack and he would start priming as soon as the weather was over 40 degrees, but that Jack would have to provide the final color coat. On July 1st we received a call from Jack (FINALLY) and he said Juan would be up to start the work in July and finish in August. (for which they are going to charge us $1,000 per day and estimate it will take 10 days). As of this writing 8/7/08 we haven't heard another word and we've left more messages.
We have extensive photos of peeling Liquid Siding and a summary of regular correspondence dating back to January when the first touch ups were needed - less than 6 months after the application that is supposed to last for 25 years! We've been promised response numerous times and still get no action. Now another summer is almost over and the "paint" is getting worse and supposedly Jact (the original contractor/dealer) has filed for bankruptcy as a result of "employee embezzlement".
Signed,
Frustrated in Evergreen!
