This is a 2006 year story so its for sure not about the claim money. What a bunch of worst kind of anal waste of a company and a person (Eryk Aboukua)? Believe me when I say DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
In April 06, I used FL Movers Inc for my move from TAMPA, FL to Baltimore, MD, my only mistake was use their storage as I didnot have a forwarding address. While delivering only received 3/4th of the consignment of which 1/4th was broken badly. Couple of boxes (Important Company Documents) landed in Naperville, IL along with some college kid's stuff who was moving from Tallahasee to IL. God bless him and his parents who called me to inform about the boxes (found my phone number from the documents) and also told me about how some of their stuff was broken. Lucky, my sister lived nearby to pick it up from them. There were others things that were completely gone missing like a SONY TV, computer desk, chairs, etc.
Filed claim with the insurance company which processed it for 4 months before adjudicating $600 and odd as compensation. Called FL Movers Inc/Eryk atleast 1000 times in the first 6-10 months and no response. Filed a complain with BBB without any resolution.
I really do not care about the money or the things but the biggest thing that gets to me is the staff and owners attitude and respone. I sometimes wonder how such people sleep at night. My only goal is to keep other innocent people away from them
Anyway, please avoid these guys.
