We bought a brand new washer and dryer set on June 29. These were delivered and installed in our NEW home on July 14. On July 15, I called Amana to report a problem with the dryer. Their response was that my warranty expired on June 29. I explained to them that from June 29 to July 14, the appliances were in the warehouse at the place of purchase, and NOT in use. I was transfered to an office of higher authority and they offer to pay parts only. I asked what the service call would cost me. Service is $65 service call and $65 per hour labor.
This would be acceptable to me if the warranty had expired a few months ago, but 17 DAYS! I will refain from purchasing any Amana, Whirlpool, or Maytag products in the future.
