We hired Discount Appliance Repair Inc in May to fix our gas range due the oven not heating. The range is a whirlpool gold series with many of the advanced display features. The company did fix the heating problem for $330.00, but in the process of fixing the oven they messed up the digital display. The digital display no longer had any sound and the display no longer displayed the clock. After having the technician out 2 more times they did figure out how to bring the sound back on, but couldn't figure out how to bring the clock back on. The technician said the display would need to be replaced to get the clock back on, which would cost us $150.00 for the part and he would throw in the labor. I told them that the entire cost should be covered since it was messed up during the repair. He told me that that I would need to talk with management to get that authorized. The general manager refused to fix it for free of charge since it wasn't a part of the original repair even though they messed up the display during the service call. This company is clearly not very ethical in their business practices and we will never use them again.
