I moved in to Albany club apartments sometime in 2003. I was 23 years old and I worked full time. I had a lady who lived under me that complained of my noise level. The office told me about the complaint once, so I took every measure possible to control all noise that came out of my apartment. A few weeks later I got a letter from the office that I either had to leave the premises or I would be evicted.
I was so busy at work I never really had time to talk to the people in the office, except maybe once or twice. I was always looked down upon and they really made me feel very unworthy of living in their community. (By the way crime was taking place almost every night of the week here.) The girl who worked up front was also a bartender at a local night club, I seen her their one night while I was out. Real professional. "not really".
In oreder to salvage my credit I moved out. Next thing I know I get an outrageous bill of three thousand dollars and many threatening Phone calls. I was in shock, They were charging me for breaking my lease. They were charging me for false damges, and they were charging me rent until someone moved in.
This man named T.C. Would call me everyday, and I mean everyday. He would threaten me and he would never let me talk to tell him my side of the story. He would interrupt me while I was talking, hang up on me while in the middle of my sentence, and even tell me to shut up at times. I had never been treated worse by anyone. I felt weak with no way out but to do whatever he said. I recently applied for an apartment and T.C. Was flagged by e-mail. I was applying with Help-u-sell. They told me they had nothing to do with triangle real estat and that the prior debt with them would not be considered. Help-u-sell gave T.C. My new numberand he again has started his harrassing, and belligerent phone calls. He says things like, "Oh now you want to pay, now that you need something." He also says, I don't know if I want to set a payment plan up with you. He says I owe him 5 years interest.
I told Mr. T.C. I have rented five apartments since 2003 I dont need anything from you, I just want this off my credit histor. He got loud and rude, I could not help but to laugh. I just wonder why this man does not shut his mouth and let me pay him the money. Now of course I was not rude to him, I just laughed at his threats and when I laughed he hung up.
To everyone out there who read this article. Stop letting apartment communities make killions of dollars of profits from evictions and false damage claims. It is time to fight back.
