John gipson, the represenative for leaf guard, advised me over the phone after hearing all the details and requirements gave me a "solid" price op $1581 to installl his system in our new home here in alaska.
The home and attached garage is 98 ft in length
and it was required that he merely install his leaf free system.
Today he drove out while i wasted 5 hours of my valuable time (i own a succesful business} waiting for him.
To make a long story short, after a fast look and while he
re-measured the length described, he stated that the actual cost might be a "little" higher than that first quoted.
After this sashay with his tapemeasure, he stated that we didn't talk about the "spacers" needed for this job and at this time, informed me that the job would be approximately another $800.00.
My wife and i are elder citizens. The fact that we do have a good business is neither here nor there. Many others will certainly fall into this trap...
I strongly urge that this firm be placed in your files as one of our "ripoff" businesses.
