This company, since they "worked" in my home, has been kicked out of my insurance company's program for the way they do business. It started when they first came out to my house to give us and my insurance company an estimate of the work that needed to be done. However, when it came down to actually doing the work, we were then told, "Oh, my partner did the original estimate, I don't know what he was thinking." That is when the "fun" started. It seemed that things were on the estimate that weren't supposed to be, the insurance company was being charged for things that apparently the workers had no intention of doing.
On several occasions I had to call the insurance company because the work that had been done was not at all up to par. He would then, reluctantly, come back out or have "his guys" come back out and try and do just what they needed to do to shut me up. The worst part about this company is just how dishonest they really are. Yes, they said they did things they didn't really do, but who knew just how far they would go. When it came time to get paid, the first check they received, they brought it to me to sign it LONG before all the work was done. They don't believe that it wasn't on purpose, but I lost the check. I looked for it everywhere but even to this day am unable to find it.
So, the check had to be cancelled and reissued, which ended up being a positive thing for USAA because they were able to have him put in a new estimate removing the things that he hadn't really done. We had someone from our insurance company come out and look at the work he had done and agreed that it wasn't done properly. When they were finally wrapping up the job, we received a call asking if they could bring the final check by for my husband and I to sign it. We said "yes", but never saw or heard from them again. About 3 weeks later, it dawned on me that I never saw them or signed their check.
I called the insurance company to see if the check had cleared and sure enough it had. They forged both my husband's and my name on the check. As if that hadn't gone far enough, apparently the insurance company let him know that they were investigating this and they then proceeded to call my house to press my mother for answers. My mother was permanently disabled in a motorcycle accident in 2001 and has permanent brain damage. I guess he was hoping to talk her into remembering something that NEVER happened. We have since filed a complaint with the better business bureau and a report with the county sherriff's office.
Beware and stay clear, there has to be better people to work with out there.
