I came across the telephone number on craigslist while looking for housing. I spoke with a "manager" by the name of Daniel Kelly. He called himself explaining the program to me. He said that his company helps people find houses and simply allows them to take over the mortgage of pre foreclosures. At the end of the conversation he tells me that he needs a credit card to verify my identity. But he assured me that no charges would occur unless I found a house and decided to do a deed transfer. I explained that I was not comfortable giving him my card number and I needed more of an explanation. He assured again that the card would not be charged and that he just needed it to verfify my identity so he could allow me access to the website to choose a house. I then proceeded to give him my card number with the exception of the last digits. I gave him the wrong last two numbers because I didnt believe it was only for identity purposes. He asked me to repeat the number and I did. He seemed bothered about something but he proceeded to let me go. The next day as my usual routine I checked my account balances. I had a charge for 199.00 from Orange Future. I couldnt believe it because I didnt even give him the right number BECAUSE I figured he would try to charge the card which he must have planned anyway. This guy must have sat there and typed in every possible conclusion to my card number and tried to figure it out until he did. I called the company and they faxed me some form to sign saying that I wouldnt proceed with any charge back action through my bank if I wanted to cancel. I kept the letter and never sent it. This company is a scam. Stay as FAR AWAY from them as possible. AND DO NOT give them your card number under any circumstances. They lie!
