Bad design no help full of shit many complaints...
I bought a Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer. The washer doesn't spin properly, so my clothes come out wringing wet. Also, the washer does not filter out any lint, so dark clothes come out with lint. The stainless steel basket has some new design that is supposed to auto-balance. It actually slows down the spin cycle. Sometimes the basket gets "locked up" and requires bruit force to get it spinning again.
Three calls to Maytag have resulted in a new timer, a new lid switch and new belts. My one-year warrantee is now up, and it spins as bad as it ever has. Also, the agitator is agressive so my towels are eaten up. I have read on other websites about similar comsumer complaints. Several emails to Maytag have gone unresponded. I surely hope no one buys any Maytag products because they suck.
That stupid "Maytag Man" is bored because he doesn't fix anything. He knows its due to bad design, so all he does is clown us. I have been told my "draining problem" is due to too much soap. I have to use "high efficiency" soap to lower the suds.
I have heard about the need to use hot water, then cold water, then hot water. Make up your minds. I'm sorry. I don't use much soap. It drains fine. Its my clothes come out too wet. I will sell them cheap as soon as I can afford a pair of Duets. Robot Wars anyone?
