Like many other I have read, Platinum Protection are a group that apparently need some schooling in the tenets of Customer Service. Was suckered in with their fast talking rep at home with all the free stuff and made the deal with the caveat that I was to be billed monthly and not automatic deductions. This was agreed after some discussion ande was noted on the contract. Fast forward 8 months to Feb '08 and this has been an issue throughout. They tried to charge me a $50 fee several times for a credit card payment and lastly actually had a payment taken from a card I had previously used to make a payment (withoout my consent or knowing). After several conversations about it, I got the suggestion to call the supervisor every month for her to ensure that the righ thing is done. I told them if they cannot even guarantee me the basic service of paying my bill according to the contract, I woul dlike it voided (contract) and im sure you can hear the laughs all the way from Utah! I will try and see if their unauthorized use of my card can be legally challenged and get out of this bogus service. I wrote a letter to them today copying the BBB and we'll see what transpires.
