I purchased an outdoor furniture set from K-Mart manufactured by Numark on 6-20-04. The furniture was advertised as rust resistant. The furniture rusted in less than a year. When I contacted K-Mart they advised of the 1 year warranty and that I should have contacted them within that period. I'm sorry but I expect a furniture set that cost me $380.00 to last longer than a year. I did find my receipt and was also advised to mail pictures (which I did). I spoke to a representative from K-Mart who advised she would refund me $280.00 only for the table and chairs. I also purchased an umbrella for $90.00 (that also broke).
When I sent the pictures and request to her attention, she gave me a phone call back and stated that my request was denied. Why ask me to take pictures and send them to the company only to receive a call back with another denial? I did speak to a supervisor of the company and she offered me a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. I just laughed at her and told her that I would be suing Numark/K-Mart. I notified the BBB against the company on 1/20/08 my complaint number is 5962138.
