Charlie Fusco of Prestige Pools abondoned the job; failed to complete pool construction and deliver on the remainder of materials/services for my pool. Prestige Pools was one of a couple of companies contacted to provide a bid on a mid-sized pool for a residential new construction home. Prestige Pools was awarded the job and began work in July. Charlie Fusco requested half the fee up front to began construction. That didn't alarm me initially, because a lot of the other subs (Outside of the General Contractor) required a deposit. However, I was caught off guard when he requested the remainder of the money, even before putting the pool in the ground or connecting the pump.
We agreed to pay the bulk of the payment and withhold a small amount until the job was completed. The pool was put in and the pump was connected. Mr. Fusco agreed to return with the rest of materials and complete the job once the electrical lines had been connected and the patio poured.By October the electrical lines were completed and the patio had been poured.
I started calling Prestige Pools to return and complete their portion of the work.in late October, the general contractor reported to me that the pool escavator was talking about putting a lien against my house due to non-payment. Of course, he told the guy that I had already paid Prestige Pools.
After leaving several messages with Charlie and Melody, I got a phone call back (voicemail) in mid-November, saying that Charlie was out-of-town and would get back in touch with me on Monday. That was the last time that I heard from Charlie Fusco. I have called his line, written letters and faxed his main office. At one point, I called every day for two straight weeks and left multiple messages; just tying to do anything I could to get a return call; without success. I had almost given up, until I discovered this avenue to report my case.
Needless to say, I am thoroughly disappointed and trust that Charlie Fusco and Melody get what they deserve.
