Plano Florist has "used" us to deliver their arrangements for the last 6 months. We are a small family owned business, and we work with well with other well known florists in Collin County. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to "Vent". We all own our own business' to make money. But, Common sense tells us when a small company that we liked & respected is trying to "poop on the consumer", and those that make it possible to get their product to the customer, it is time to Speak Out!
Plano Florist is the Only Florist My small business has dealt with that we diddn't get along. It started when their Flower arrangements diddn't have the quality that our other Florists had. We told the owner "Mary Gmetro" that her flowers were dying very quickly. We expressed the fact that "most" of her employees couldn't speak English, and diddn't understand when we told them that the flowers were of poor quality.
We still delivered their arrangements, even embarassed to do so. But, when her head girl "Ompara" practically begged me one afternoon at about 4:00 p. M to deliver 3 funeral arrangements to St. Paul, before 6:00 p. M, I said "I will have to deliver the rest of my arrangements then come back to deliver these 3 large arrangements to St. Paul before 6:00. I said " Ompara, I can Do it, No problem, but you have to pay me Per arrangement". Ompara said, "How much is St. Paul? I said, "It's on your sheet, but for instance IF it is $8.00 a delivery, then for me to get these huge 3 arrangements, it will be $24.00. She said O.K.
I have proof to show that I delivered at exactly 1 minute till 6:00 P.M. What it comes down to is the fact that my small delivery company was taken advantage of by another small company that has no respect for it's equals. This entire thing is over a $16.00 invoice.
Mary Gmetro and/or her Flower shop has chosen not to pay my struggling small business, all because those St. Paul deliveries turned out to be $10.00 a piece, and she had 4 pieces at the time I picked up & delivered. So me, as a business women I charged her $10.00 a piece, for 3 of them. I charged her $2.00 extra delivery fee for the fourth.
Well, to make a long story short, she didn't pay me what I deserved for getting those arrangements there, when I was their Only hope. She (Mary Gmetro)/paid me what she thought I was worth. I accepted it. I said O.K. I was mad enough that I said to the young "wet back" tell Mary to call and speak to me.
I didn't think that Mary would ever purposely take advantage of me. I figured it was a mis-understanding. Well the next day I did 2 more deliveries for "Plano Florist", thinking nothing of it, I did the 2 deliveries. One was supposed to go to "Harker", I'm in Parker. At the end of the day, I paid for my cellular phone minutes to call her shop to say that the woman didn't live in Parker.
After I took the time & effort to contact the customer, I called F.T.D.com. They were soooo happy to hear from me, because it was not my responsebility, and yet, I still called to tell them it was WRONG.
The end of that day, I told them to have Mary Gmetro to call me, they said O.K. She never called to discuss the mis-understanding the day before. Now, here I am 3 1/2 weeks later. And she won't write me a check for $16.00. The $ doesn't bother me as much as her telling these illegal aliens that "She will call me back".
And this "Honorable woman, Mary GMetro, has never called me back, or looked my company in the eye. She has acted totally Un-Honorable. We have been nothing but "NICE", They laughed at my company today when trying to pick up our $16.00 check. Ya. Laugh at me and my small business, but it's not about the $ at this point.
This is my story, and Mary Gmetro has been to scared to even speak to me as Business Owners. All over $16.00. I signed up with D & B just to vent about this white woman like me, that takes too many Vacations, and is just a little too scared for me. This is coming from " C & M DELIVERY & HAULING. I'm nobody special, But "Only GOD Can Judge US".
