Do not call ABC plumbing 4abc.com Buffalo Grove, IL they are scamming people. They charge WAY MORE than any other plumber and they charge you a service call charge for estimate, they KNOW they are going to be SUPER EXPENSIVE. They know that when they show up, most people are either desperate enough to pay or not knowledgable at the moment of crisis/need to reject their quote. They quoted us over $1300 for a 50 gal hot water tank, gave us all sorts of lame reasons, lied to us and told us electric was more expensive than gas (FALSE). We told them no thanks, they gave us a bill for $59 for a service call. So they charged us $59 to have them come out and check to see if we could be duped. We paid the bill since we are honest people but we should not have. The tech was a nice guy, but since he is involved in what he MUST know is a scam he can't be all that nice after all.
They operate several businesses it looks like, under several similar names and Chicago area locations. DO NOT DO NOT call or use them, don't agree to pay $ for an estimate, GET A RECOMMENDATION from someone you know and trust before calling a plumber! ABC's website is slickly worded and it sounds like they are good old fashioned, honest neighborhood plumbers like we used to have but they are anything but that.
