First American sent sub -contractor to home to repair air conditioning unit. After $55. Oo service fee contractor added on &460.00 in "non-covered " fees.
Fees include huge markups ie.$150. Oo for $40. Oo permit. When contacted, First American told me that they allow contractors to charge what ever amount they want. I was also told others had paid over $1. Ooo for the same service. This is not in their contract. If they set no controls for their contrators there is no warranty, in fact one is better off using the yellow pages. Eight days post my intial call my unit still has not been repaired.
