The House Doctor - David Pena - David De La Pena
Tony conartist contractor Ripoff

*Please beware of this Contractor*
On or about May 20 I called The House Doctor/aka / David Pena - Ad located in the Dallas Morning Newspaper - to come to my home and check on my Foundation. Mr Pena said that the repairs would cost me a total of $4500.00 and he requested I give him $2000.00 down payment, I did. He bought about $100.00 worth of cement and had the holes dug around my home and layed the concrete in them, again he requested additional monies of which I gave him an additional 2500.00, he instructed his employees to use the bricks and used-broken beams under my house as he was not going to provide any additional supplies - and I would not know.

I went out of town and left someone at my home at all times to check on his work. When I returned from out of town, the work on my Foundation was not completed and to this day -is not yet fixed. When I asked Mr. Pena about the work on my foundation he got real mad at me and charged at me - got in my face and yelled at me as if he was about to hit me and said if I knew so much about * foundation work, why didn't I do it myself - I said this is why I hired you - he cussed me out and left, and insisted I deal with one of his workers he left behind. Mr. Pena does not return phone calls, changes price quoats as he goes along and does not provide receipts for payments made to him and has not come back to apoligize for his bad attitude, he called me on the phone and cussed me out again when I asked that he refund my monies I had given him {total of $4500.00}.

I have had to file reports with the Local Better Business Bureau and Texas Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Division in an effort to get my monies back so that I can hire another company/person to complete my foundation repairs. Beware of this contractor as he will lie to you and take your money -complete just enough work to lead you on so that you have to give him additional monies and then that is when he leaves -takes all his tools and workers and just keep's going from Job to Job as a repeat contractor offender. The House Doctor will bleed you for monies as long as one allows him to - because he tells his customers I need to get additional supplies and pay my employees. Again, All I can say is BEWARE of this person - he takes advantage of the customers over and over again - Remember a good legit contractor will almost never ask for monies upfront and he provideds all his supplies, and he charges what he quoated. I have learned from this person and I do not want anyone else to get burned as I have. This has become a stressful Nightmare for me.
