They sent the correct plant, but the blossoms died the next day Montclai

On March 6 I ordered a cattelya orchid to be delivered to a business associate. It arrived on March 8 and the bloom was beautiful. Then on March 9, it was dead. That is not what I intended to pay for. The bloom was the part that was important to me, and to the recipient. She called Orchids.com and was asked to take a picture of the flower and send it to them, which she did. Michelle responded by offering to send a phalaenopsis, or to give me a credit for $10. Even though I was the one who paid for the orchid, I was not consulted.

The recipient said that she did not want a phalaenopsis, and so the credit was given to my credit card account. When the recipient told me what had happened, I was embarrassed that the gift that I had intended had died, and that I was not consulted about what the solution should be. I called and talked to Michelle, who just wanted to argue with me, so I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. She put me through to someones voicemail where I left a message on March 9.

As of Tuesday March 13 I had not received a return phone call, and so I called again. The woman who answered the phone said that someone had talked to me and the problem had been resolved. I told her that I had not gotten a call from anyone at Orchids.com, but she refused to believe me. She said she would leave a message for someone who would return my call.

As of today, Friday March 16, I have had no response to either of the phone messages that I left. I do not think that just crediting my credit card account with $10 made up for the plant that lost its blossom and would like to have had a different resolution to the problem, such as a different cattelya, in bloom or bud being sent as a replacement.

On their website it says, the gift plants you order arrive in prime condition. This provides each recipient with the utmost level of quality. That is not what happened with the plant that I sent.

I made EVERY effort to resolve this fairly, but since they would not communicate with me either by snail mail, email, or phone, I had no choice but to resolve the problem through my credit card company.
