Paying for incomplete job!

On 5/8/07, APS Insulation Services came to my home to price a job for insulation work to be completed under, in the exterior walls, and the attic of my home. Michael Eubanks, operator, was give examine the task under consideration. I obtained an estimation from him describing the whole work; whole - $9,000.00. It had been divided into 3 stages with related quantities along with a great total: floor, surfaces, and loft for $4000, $2500, and $2500 respectively. Complete cost was due upon completion. Based on him, all stages could be started and finished inside a sensible period of time.

After receiving numerous quotes from additional insulators, I decided to Mr. Eubanks calculate by signing the doc and telling him within the telephone of my approval of his present. He decided to invest in the efficiency work on my home beginning exactly the same week; which he did.

Per month later, on July 4th, he ultimately finished 1 of 3 stages outlined within the contract. He instantly requested for cost of this specific stage that was $3800.00. I settled his boy-in law, Tim Phillips, $3800 by check up on June 4th. He and Michael Eubanks established that APS Efficiency Providers could be back about the 6th to accomplish the task. The following three times passed; APS Efficiency was a “no-show.” I named Saturday June 9th, to ask about his lack. He mentioned he no further had “any interests” in finishing the job. He mentioned he had created severe miscalculations in his contract in my experience and didn’t desire to complete. He also accepted of getting no motives of actually time for fulfill his dedication particularly because he'd previously gotten $3800 “out of me”. He's since forgotten the task entirely.

I’ve requested that APS possibly end the job themselves or employ a subcontractor to complete the same work on Mr. Eubanks’ cost less the $5000 to become compensated by me when the remaining stages are total. Their solution: a $30 notice from the nearby no name attorney declaring APS had done nothing wrong. Notice Better Business Bureau criticism to find out more. AL Attorney-General Troy King’s workplace continues to be informed aswell.
