I ordered $900.00 of sod from Grass4Sale.com late last spring of 2006. I prepped the lawn by scraping the top 5-6 inches with a Bobcat. I had about 9 tons of premium top soil delivered and graded. I coordinated with three friends to help install the new sod upon delivery that Friday afternoon. The sod never showed up that day nor did I receive a call from Grass4Sale.
I finally got a hold and spoke to James Walker that same day and he said the sod would be there in the morning but would not commit to a time. A semi-truck shows up the next day around 5:45 am Saturday waking the neighborhood. Most of the grass was dried out and about a pallet in all was dead.
Regrettably in hind site, I installed it that day with little help since most of my friends had other commitments. I called the following Monday to explain about the dead grass and was told that I would have to pay $400.00 in shipping fees for a replacement pallet of sod that arrived dead. I frequently receive emails from Grass4Sale.com as if I would ever do business with them again.
I was extremely disappointed with the sod's arrival condition, missed delivery date and their guaranty policy that does not include shipping fees for replacement sod that arrives dead. The $400 shipping fee would have cost me more than a new pallet of sod.
