I purchased 5 candles from this eBay seller through 3 different listings. All product was listed as NEW and in un-used condition.
The second auction listed, item # 330038454080 I purchased 2 candles using the "Buy It Now" feature on eBay (2 on Item # 330038454055 and 1 on Item # 330038454064); items were listed as being in NEW condition.
11/12 bid on auctions;
11/15 Seller contacted me as a result of my asking to consolidate shipment for the 3 different auctions; S&H was extremely high ($15 per item);
11/16 Seller agreed to ship all 5 candles for $40.00 USD and to allow additional time for payment, at this time they asked for payment date;
11/16 I informed seller payment date would be
11/22 but it appears this message never went through;
11/19 Seller beings Unpaid dispute with eBay;
11/22 I made payment in full;
11/24 Seller ships all 5 candles via USPS;
11/27 Product arrives and I unpack 3 of the 5 candles leaving 2 packaged to transport to my mother. The first 3 unpacked were all in new, un-used condition.
11/28 I transported remaining 2 candles to my mother and stood next to her while she unpacked, the second candle she opened (Vanilla) had been USED! About 1/2" to 1" of wax has been consumed, all 3 wicks had been burned and the entire inner lip of the candle was black with soot;
11/28 - 11/29 Exchanged emails with seller to informed them I had been shipped used product. Seller refused to work with me, maintained that I was a liar and turned me into eBay when I informed her I would leave negative feedback and detail our transaction on the web.
Continuing to click the images will get you more and more detailed photos. You can clearly see the residue all over the top of the wax, an indicator this was burned WELL BEFORE 1 - 2 days after it arrived on 11/27. Freshly melted wax maintains a very smooth surface and slightly light color for several weeks before this residue occurs.
