We ordered a tub from Ellen, Southeast Spas, out of Waycross Georgia. Her ad came out in the Buyers Guide, advertising wholesale prices on Hot Tubs. We called her and talked in lengthy detail about the tubs she had numerous amounts of times. We finally decided which tub we wanted and she faxed us a list of references of tubs she had sold in our area. We called everyone on the list and even went to see one of the tubs she had delivered. The only complaint was the length of delivery time, because of different things that was going on in her life. We stressed to her that time was very important to us and she assured us we would have our tub in 4 weeks. She would not take partial payment, and required full payment as the down payment.
We discussed this with previous customers of hers and they said they did the same thing but did not have a problem. Four weeks went by and no tub, only excuses. We wanted our money back and she would not give it back to us, because she said she didn't have it. She was having problems with 5 other customers and getting them their tubs also. Finally after three months and many heated discussions we were delivered our tub. However... It was 1/2 the size tub we paid for, so we went through the act of congress and made them put it back on truck. We would not accept it. She blamed Spa Assemblers, which is the company that built our tub. We talked to Jimmy, Larry and Mary and they assured us they would ship our tub and said it was there mistake. We finally got our tub, but after we got it set up the blower did not work.
I called Ellen to tell her about it, and she said she was out of business and she was not going to honor our 30 day warranty. I called Jimmy at Spa Assemblers and he said they would not warranty the tub, that Ellen would have to. He went over some trouble shooting tips which did not work. He said he would get back with me. After me calling him once a week, he was mad. He talked really nasty to me, and then finally he said if I would mail him back the blower, he would send me another one. I mailed it three weeks ago. A week after I mailed it, I contacted him to see if he got it. He said it was on his desk and that he would ship out the new one in five days. Ten days later I called back (which is today, September 28th) to find that all numbers I have for them have been disconnected. I paid over 4,000.00 for this tub and 300.00 delivery fee, and I can't get a blower or get our tub warrantied. I have never been treated so bad or lied to so much in my life. I wish I could have them locked up!!! I have learned a valuable lesson, and I only hope they pay for their poor business values.
