Platinum Pools
Ripoff

In December we hired Platinum Pools to build a pool for us. You name it and it went wrong. Once we signed the contract we never saw our salesman again. The only person that came out to check out their work was a job supervisor that is no longer with the company and neither is our salesman or scheduling manager. They promised to finish the pool in 20 working days as long as we had no rain. When they dug the pool I told them the dimentions on the deep end were not correct - wide enough, and the job supervisor said he would have it fixed. Two days later while I was away from the house they sprayed the gunite and the deep end had not been widened. When we finally did get some rain our back yard was so torn up and had not been grated, so all of the mud in our back yard ended up in the pool... This was on February 24.

Now our plaster is stained, the cool crete had to be repainted because the paint was peeling, the mother board wasn't working, so the scuppers and hot tub jets would turn on whenever they wanted, doubling out electric bill. Out steps are full of cracks, so far we have two leaks, the drains aren't working correctly. I could go on and on, but this should give you an idea of the customer service and construction they provide. The Generl Manage Tom Tomco said these were things that we would just have to put up with. The Quality Assurance Manager in Houston has taken tiny steps to fix things the easiest and cheapest way possible, but the bottom line is that we are now 8 months into this pool and it is still not right. We have literally spent thousands of dollars out of our pocket to correct the mistakes they have made. They did offer us about $400.00 to settle, but this doesn't even come close to monies we have had to spend to fix things they did wrong. The owner Scott Waldo refuses to return my numberous phone calls to him, so obviously the tens of thousands of dollars we spent with him means nothing to him since he was paid in full on February 22 by our Mortgage Company. If anyone of you are even thinking about using this company, please contact me at my email address.
