This company agreed to perform an investigative service call for $85 (30 minutes) on a single zone sprinkler system. Jim Barrier (owner) dispatched a tech. The system was working in manual mode before the call. I was never called before the work, to explain what services would be performed. I received a call from the Tech after the fact that he replace the valve and the controller and that the invoice he originally left in my mail box for $200 was being replaced with an invoice for $85 $250. I objected. The Tech reported my objection to Jim Barrier.
Within minutes I received a call that my yard was spewing water and the neighbor had to turn off my water. She went to the sprinkler location and observed that there was nothing there. The Tech reported to me that when he left that the system was working fine (15 minutes after his departure). The only he gave was that Jim Barrier must have come to my property (he lives in the area), rather than call me to resolve the bill, he ripped out my valve and the controller leaving a hole in the ground and water spewing out. I called Jim Barrier and he would not give an explanation and hung up on me.
I have filed a criminal report to the County Sheriff for vandalism, malicious destruction of property and theft and will be filing a civil suit against him.
