I bought a bedroom set from Macy's and paid over @0 for a Seven Year Platinum Plus Warranty. I was told that I can trade in and led to believe that over the seven years I would be covered. The first year my bed rails broke and it was replaced.
In 2005 the desser gor burnt with candles and I reported it to the company. The representative did not write muliple burns. When the service man came out and he saw athe three burns he called in and they denied the service. I wrote a letter to the office and they further denied it.
On May 6, my rail broke on the bed. I calle din the report and was told my warranty does not cover breakage of wood. While examining the damage I discovered a fault in the way it was assembled. I contacted the office and they denied the claim. I was told they can give me a service man telephone # and will have to pay out of my pocket.
I am sleeping on the floor and will have to do so until I am able to pay for that service.
