Recently my wife and i bought a Fleetwood mobile home from Affordable homes of Cabot, Arkansas. We were told many many lies not only were we overcharged $25000.00 over the seling price of the home, the dealer actually stole some appliances out of the house—and admitted it was done on their lot! They also admitted that the mortgage we hold is not to our house, but to the original house we looked at that is still on thir lot. The dealer told us in his office that the best thing to do woudl be ri up the contract and start over, or to give us the house we are paying for. Then when we requested the simple task of getting the right home, the dealer said he would be losing money.
Not only did we get the wrong house at the wrong price, and the dealer admitted to his wrongdoing, he did offer to "help us out" His suggestion—"hire a lawyer and sue me."
So, i am telling anyone who reads this, this company as well as their mortgage company will rip you off.
Now we are stuck in a home falling apart and a dealer sitting laughing with a cigar in his mouth.
However, an attorney has been contacted, the SEC, and the state, so we will see who has the last laugh.
