I contracted for a modular home with Triad Custom Builders in May. I was told at the time that it would be 90 days to completion after the house was ordered. I agreed because I knew that would put me in the house around September. Well, it took 2 weeks for the house to be built and it was set on the foundation August 28. All that had to be done was to build a garage and hook up the house, fix the cracks from moving and some otehr minor details. Well, their sub contractor was Fred, the builder from Hell! He was good at bs'ing especially when he changed the roof pitch on the garage without asking. He told us he had to do it because the code required it. I called the building department and found out that was crap. I had to beg Triad to put a silt fence up to protect my pond. They went ahead and painted, even though there were still large cracks in walls.in November, Billy Williams from Triad told me that he was within the schedule because the completion date was 90 days from the date it was set on the foundation! Like there is something wrong with my brain! Well, the 90 days have passed and there are still a lot of issues with the house. They have moved to Main St in Roxboro but have not updated their internet listing. Beware, they may be getting ready to change the company name once they have gotten rid of us!
