My mother and I purchased a few items from Marlo's in November. We received the first part of our purchase a few days later because we picked it up from the store. The balance of the order was to be delivered in January. I had to call the store to get the delivery date and they told me all items would be available the 19th of January. I made arrangements to leave work early and have someone with a truck to pick the furniture up for me. I get to the store only to find that my items were not in. I asked why didn't I receive a phone call alerting me that the furniture would not be in. The manager (and I use the term loosely) said he did not have an answer to that question. Now the items are either not available from the manufacturer or it has a later delivery date. When I asked the manager about the date I was told on the phone he said I could have been talking to the janitor. I felt that the answer he gave was insulting and not very professional. I left the store not knowing anymore than I did when I entered. The sales team intially when you come in is right on target. They take your money with no regards to whether or not you get your furniture or not. Their were several customers there complaining about not receiving furniture or receiving damaged goods. I've decided that I will cancel the balance of the order and get a refund. I just feel that Marlo's does not care whether any issues are resolved they only care about getting your money. Never will I purchase anymore furniture from this place. I know I am just a small customer and they will not miss the little money that I spend, but hopefully enough customers will do the same and run them out of business.
