We purchased windows and financed our purchase. Castle Windows has a clause in their contracts that explain that all loans over $5000 will be treated as a mortgage. Well we were duped because ours was $2500 and they filed a lien anyway.in addition, they provided SLM Financial with all of our personal information to enable this lien. They presented their products in a deceptive manner. When we complained to the FTC, BBB and consumer affairs they sent us to their ignorant attorneys. The attorneys threatened us and tried to bully us into dropping our complaints. Well if you check other complaint websites like complaints.com - there are other complaints against Castle and SLM Financial with similiar situations. Ha ha the attorneys claim we were making up lies and defaming Castle Windows but Castle has done it to themselves. If the attorneys researches the statute they will know that they have no case. I will continue the fight and you will have to as well so that companies like these cannot continue to treat the consumer like this! You know you are on the right track when the owner of the company calls you at home and begs you to remove the complaints.
