Srinkler Head and Collar was called to help my sister in Toms River, Holiday City. To fix a sprinkler pump problem, the pump was humming but not running properly. The man told her she had a major problem and he would be able to fix it for approxiamately $500. But the repair would only be a temporary fix and she would need to spend an additional $1200 to $1600 in the next two years to really fix the problem of low pressure at the heads.
The man wrote the bill for changing a 110 VAC 60 HZ Capacitor for her pump on October 3rd. For $325 for the part and $25 labor to change it. She showed me the bill and I was outraged, being in the business for 30 years of sprinklers and wells I knew I could replace the entire pump retail for $370 for a brand new Goulds Pump. The part that the man replaced for $325.

I was going to give the person some time to answer my claim but he has not returned calls to his answering machine and I was more and more enraged that this person was ripping off seniors in a retirement city in New Jersey He also did some other work for escalated prices but that is small compared to the pump rip off
