March 13 I purchased a 1 HP Emerson Motor and had an electrician install the motor. After a few months, it started overheating. Finally, it started shutting off. Thinking this company was reputable I just figured they kept receipts. Wrong!

I wrote to a Mr. Naber's Customer Relations and explained my predicament with their pool equipment. He informed me that Leslie's pool service didn't have any receipt for my motor, but if I could find a receipt they would correct the problem.

A month ago, I found the receipt. Took the motor back to Centerville. Immediately, a young whipper snapper screams "This pump has calcium deposits. It is water damaged! That voids the warranty!" The only thing that was on that pump was some DE because DE circulates and the pump filters the pool.

When I pointed this out, they would not listen! They begrudgingly took the motor. Nabers emails me that he is going to Leslie's at Centerville to inspect the motor. So, he writes back that the motor was installed on its side and water damaged.

This motor was not water damaged nor was it installed on its side. It simply overheats and shuts off. They have the motor. I have not heard whether or not they are sending it to Emerson. I think it was rotton motor to begin with just like their company.

This motor was $70 higher than the competitor. And the competitor pointed out to me that the motor was overheating and I should return it to Leslie's Pool Service. What a RIP-OFF!
