Critter control Inc is all about remodeling your attic and nothing about finding the point of intrusion. They attempt to find a gullible customer that will buy into their claims about pheromones and scents and thereby convince the customer they have to change out all their insulation and spray tha attic with a bleach solution for about $3.50 per square foot. No matter how many critters you are dealing with you’re going to be diagnosed as “infested.”
Never once did these people mention wintertime, and that these varmints are going to want indoors regardless of their left behind odors. Even if you buy their attic remodeling service you’ve still got to deal with the point of intrusion and seal it up. They want you to believe that if you don’t get rid of these odors these varmints will never quit trying to get indoors. I maintain as long as there are winters they are going to try to get indoors regardless of any odors left behind in your attic.
They couldn’t find any more than I did before I called them. This resulted in making some pretty absurd claims as to how the varmints were getting in such as my dryer vent (with a door) and my attic ventilators. They weren’t very helpful at all, and once they figured out they weren’t going to sell me $5,000 worth of attic remodeling they were out of here like a bullet.
As many exterminators will do, they try to scare the homeowner into believing they must take immediate, and expensive action. It just isn’t true, and just thinking about things a minute will reveal the scam behind this effort. Since I’ve been able to keep them out for 25 years now by simply covering up points of intrusion I’m going to try that many times over before buying into any claims I need new insulation and attic cleaning.
Even if you bought into every one of their claims, and bought all of the recommended services, you still have a hole in your structure that has to be found and sealed up. So, why not try that first before going through all of this expensive odor removal and see how well it holds?
