After doing a lot of research we were convinced by Marc Gold at Colonial Home Warranty that they had the best plan and a large list of technicians in my area. We signed up in April and have been paying $69 per month.in August 1, we contacted Colonial and opened up two claims (#2166117 for the Range Oven and #216618 for the Clothes Washer). The claims were assigned first to Rose Appliance Sales who told us that they wanted to get paid upfront because they were not paid by Colonial in the past. We were then assigned to Todd Appliance who told us that they no longer work for Colonial because they didn't get paid either. As of today, August 19 I am being told that all of the contractors in my area are overbooked and they don't have anyone to send over to take care of my problems. They suggested I contact my own repairman, pay for the call and submit a re-imbursement claim. Considering the fact that the technicians did not get paid by Colonial, I am not willing to run the risk on not getting reimbursed for the repairs I make on my own.

At this point I either get the services I paid for since April or get the full refund for the monthly payments that I have made since signing up for this plan.
