5 months of waiting then futurama refused to refund money when delivery was missing pieces. They were unprovoked and abusive as well as unprofessional

I ordered a bedroom set on July 2nd from Futurama furniture. I was told it would be delivered in 8-10 weeks. After 10 weeks I was told it would be another 4-6 weeks. Then after that 6 weeks was up I was told 6 more weeks. I really loved the bedroom set but by November 30th I was tired of waiting and people were being very vague and not returning calls when I questioned the status of my order.

I decided to take the floor model. It was delivered on December 11th. The bed slats were missing so the box spring and mattress could not be put on. I called the store with the delivery people waiting. Jen answered the phone and said "there are too many things to look through in the back. I dont know if the bed slats are here." She told me I could refuse the order and fill out a refund form. She obviously didnt want to help me. The delivery person said I should just drive up there and pick them up myself.

So after finally getting the furniture after almost 6 months I signed the form and accepted delivery and drove to Futurama. After approximately 30 minutes of waiting for someone to check the back and the floor models themselves for slats one of the men found one bed and started removing the slats. (This was after he walked around the store muttering "sob" over and over again!) I noticed that the slats on this floor model were damaged. One was cracked and missing a screw. I told him I didnt want broken slats and he started yelling at me.

At this point I went to the desk and asked for a refund form and for the furniture to be picked up from my home. The owner came over and told me the broken slats would work just fine and to take them. He absolutely refused to refund my money. He started screaming and cursing at me! (My 2 year old little girl was in the store with me and these men did not care!) The owner had someone one cut new slats for me and told me to take them and to leave! He said I couldnt get my money back. To top it off the slats didnt even fit when I got them home. The delivery men made huge dents in my hardwood floors and the nightstand and dresser rock back and forth!

I will never deal with these people again. They were abusive, unprofessional and lazy. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau and I am disputing the bill with Visa.
