I was expecting a service where I could print stamps online as I needed them so I didn't have to schlep to the post office and deal with the surly people there. However, stamps.com is an expensive monthly subscription service where you pay a monthly fee ($15.99 or something like that) to have them provide you with postage. I probably use that much postage in a YEAR so it wasn't worthwhile to me. I called them and told them that I misunderstood the service before they charged me for it. They quickly canceled my subscription but stuck me with their "free" $9.99 (P&H) scale which is designed to work only with their service. Fortunately i found software online so i can use the scale, however i feel that stamps.com is deceptive about what they sell and stuck me with a gadget i didn't want and that they figured i wouldn't be able to use if i didn't pay them a monthly fee. Only plus was that it was easy to get out of the $15.99 monthly fee through their CS line.
