I recently received a new customer offer which included a "free" scale to weigh postage, along with a starter kit, some free postage and a software CD. I signed up, only to find that I must pay $9.99 for "postage and handling" on the "free" scale, information that was only made available after I signed up. This is a bit of bait-and-switch, although I do find the software and the service impressive and will use it in my business.
